Position:                                 Membership and Growth Manager

The Membership and Growth Manager will drive new memberships, renewals, reinstatements, and event registrations while maintaining and securing new strategic partnerships to add perceived value in the eyes of the member/prospective member.

PTR is the largest global organization of tennis coaches, with more than 13,000 members in 125 countries. Our mission is to grow racquet sports worldwide through education, community, and innovation.


Core Objectives

·      Grow membership acquisition, retention, and upgrades

·      Expand sponsorship and strategic partnership revenue

·      Increase participation in education, events, and programs

·      Build repeatable sales systems and outreach strategies

·      Lead a team of interns


Key Responsibilities

1.    Membership Growth

·      Drive new memberships, renewals, and reinstatements across all PTR entities

·      Develop and execute conversion strategies from inquiry to onboarding

·      Build and implement retention and reactivation campaigns

·      Cultivate industry relationships

·      Oversee member onboarding experience and engagement initiatives


2.    Sales and Revenue Generation

·      Personally lead sales across membership, education, events, and programs

·      Drive registrations for Certification Workshops, and online education

·      Support revenue growth for conferences and key events

·      Develop outbound sales campaigns targeting clubs, organizations and coaches


3.    Strategic Partnerships and Sponsors

·      Identify, develop, and close strategic partnerships and sponsorships

·      Create and sell partnership and sponsorship packages

·      Negotiate agreements to maximize value for PTR


4.    Events and Programs Revenue

·      Drive attendance and revenue for PTR events and conferences

·      Support exhibitor, sponsorship, and ticket sales

·      Collaborate with Marketing to position PTR events globally


5.    Team Leadership & Execution

·      Recruit, train and manage a small team of interns

·      Set outreach targets, activity goals, and performance expectations


6.    Systems, Reporting & KPIs

·       Build and manage a structured sales pipeline and outreach system

·      Track and report on key metrics, including:

o  Membership growth and renewals

o  Sponsorship and partnership revenue

o  Event and education registrations


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

·      New memberships acquired

·      Membership renewals and retention rate

·      Membership upgrades

·      Sponsorship and partnership revenue

·      Education and event registrations

·      Total revenue generated across all categories

·      Pipeline growth and close rate


Job Qualifications: Upon hire, the Membership and Strategic Partnerships Director will preferably have the following:

·      Have a minimum of 4 years sales experience and experience in the tennis or pickleball industry preferred

·      Be/Become familiar with all PTR membership opportunities and benefits

·      Ability to work with a group of dynamic individuals

·      Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

·      Highly organized, self-motivated, and results driven

·      Passion for racquet sports and global community building

·      Strong understanding of CRM systems and sales pipelines
