Under general supervision of the Director of Nursing, the adjunct faculty member teaches assigned clinical rotations according to the rules and procedures of the College. This is a part-time, adjunct faculty position.
This is a continuous recruitment to create an applicant pool. Openings may or may not exist at this time. Applications are evaluated on an as-needed basis when the Health Sciences Department has a need for a Clinical Instructor. The continuous posting will remain open for a period of 24 months. After this period, applicationswill become inactive.
Evaluates student performance through processes approved by the Director of Nursing and informs the student accordingly
Obtains and maintains such licenses and/or certifications as may become necessary or appropriate to perform in accordance with accepted standards in the field of academic responsibility
Maintains familiarity with theNCBONthe Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and the NC Community College System's standards and requirements.

Utilizes methods of instruction and teaching techniques that are appropriate to the fulfillment of course goals and objectives
Bachelor of Science in Nursing. One or more years of teaching experience in an academic or clinical setting including patient education; and, two or more years of full-time employment as a registered nurse in a clinical nursing practice.Teaching experience in the community college system; and Master of Science in Nursing.
License(s) Required: A current, unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
