Medical Associates Clinic is seeking an Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)� to join our Psychiatry & Psychology team� located in our Dubuque, Iowa location.

The Position:
Full-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)� � located in the Medical Associates Psychiatry & Psychology Department at our Dubuque, Iowa location. The position includes an attractive benefits package with competitive base salary plus bonus potential. Primary schedule is Mon-Fri. Call required.� Qualified candidates must be a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).�

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct Psychiatric medical services under the direction of supervising physicians.
  • Provide direct mental health care under the direction of supervising physician; including but not limited to: obtaining histories, mental status exams, ordering and interpreting appropriate lab and x-ray studies, establishing diagnosis, prescribing medications as needed and initiating treatment plan. Provide patient education to promote good mental health and support mental health management.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education: Equivalent to a college degree and a professional certificate or a graduate degree. Must be a licensed ARNP or PA. Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).

Interpersonal Skills: The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job.�
