Our smaller Real Estate client is growing and looking for a Property Accountant who will own the day-to-day accounting operations across the company.

This is a hands-on role built for someone who takes pride in their work and wants to grow alongside the company they're building with.

DUTIES:

Accounts Payable & Payment Execution

• Execute the full AP cycle — invoice receipt through ACH/check payment and vendor remittance

• Maintain AP aging across all entities; manage W-9 collection, 1099s, and vendor files

General Ledger & Month-End Close

• Prepare and post journal entries across all entities

• Complete bank reconciliations

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly and support delivery of full financial statements

• Assist with budget-to-actual variance analysis at the property and entity level

Construction & Development Accounting

• Assist with monthly construction loan draw packages — documentation, lien waivers, photo logs

• Track project expenditures against approved budgets in Yardi; pull and organize data from Procore

• Collaborate with project managers on reporting and lender packages

Tenant & NNN Lease Accounting

• Generate and post monthly rent charges; follow up on delinquent receivables

• Maintain security deposit ledgers and rent rolls

• Support annual CAM reconciliation: compile actuals, calculate tenant shares, draft reconciliation statements

Cash Management & Process Building

• Assist with weekly cash position reporting

• Document procedures as you build them — write the SOP, not just the transaction

• Identify recurring manual tasks that can be automated or delegated

• Support annual tax coordination and Yardi module implementation


REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. Onsite a Must

• 3+ years in real estate development, construction, &/or property management

• Some experience in AP from invoice receipt through payment

• Experience with month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations


Preferred:

• Yardi experience

• NNN lease and CAM reconciliation experience

• Construction/development accounting — draw packages, lien waivers, job cost tracking

• Working knowledge of Procore
