Project Scheduler

Our client is is one of the largest utility companies in the United States, delivering essential natural gas and electric services to millions of homes and businesses across six states. They are looking for a an experienced Senior Project Scheduler to join our team and lead the management of complex project schedules in large industrial capital project environments. This key role drives schedule development, analysis, and integrated cost forecasting, ensuring project performance aligns with organizational goals and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Increase proficiency in schedule development, schedule analysis, and integrated cost/schedule forecasting using quantitative risk management tools (e.g., Expected Monetary Value, Sensitivity Analysis)
• Develop integrated, qualitative, and risk-managed project baselines for precise performance measurement, enabling corrective and preventive action
• Apply cost of quality principles to schedule management, development, monitoring, and control
• Conduct contract commercial management, performance assessment, schedule analysis, and change management forecasting
• Review contract scope and schedule performance; provide recommendations to project management
• Utilize and coordinate project management guidelines, standards, processes, job aids, and tools
• Direct schedule management effort, tailoring processes and tools/techniques as needed
• Manage and forecast project schedule performance baselines and variances, identifying opportunities for improvement
• .ntegrate risk response planning and quality management for optimal project schedule accuracy and flexibility
• Produce and compile standard and advanced schedule reports for stakeholders

Qualifications

Require

• High School Diploma AND four (4) years experience as a scheduler OR High School Diploma AND six (6) years construction/engineering experience, with two (2) years as a project scheduler
• High proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6 scheduling software & spreadsheet development/utilization
• Experience in large industrial capital project environments
• 4+ years of project scope, schedule, cost, risk, and quality management
• Strong ability to read/interpret project schedules, develop databases, and generate schedule hierarchies
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred

• Bachelor’s Degree AND four (4) years experience as a project scheduler
