Job Title: Project/Program Manager III – Construction
Job Description

This role leads the coordination and completion of complex construction projects and programs, including new builds, renovations, and expansions of fulfillment centers across the United States. The Project/Program Manager III oversees all aspects of the project lifecycle, from design through implementation and operation, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring progress to ensure successful delivery. The position prepares clear, concise status reports for senior leadership and relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan, prioritize, and accomplish goals. The manager leads and directs the work of others, collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, and uses a wide degree of creativity and latitude to solve problems and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the full lifecycle of construction projects and programs, including new builds, renovations, and expansions of fulfillment centers across the United States.
  • Oversee all aspects of assigned projects and programs, from design phase through implementation and operational handoff.
  • Set project and program deadlines, define milestones, and develop schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Assign responsibilities to internal teams and external partners, ensuring clear ownership and accountability for tasks and deliverables.
  • Monitor and summarize project and program progress, identifying risks, issues, and dependencies and driving timely resolution.
  • Prepare and present regular status reports and updates for upper management, highlighting progress, risks, budget considerations, and key decisions.
  • Lead and direct the work of others, including project team members, contractors, and consultants, to ensure high-quality execution.
  • Manage and coordinate design review activities, ensuring that project requirements, standards, and stakeholder expectations are clearly defined and met.
  • Oversee and participate in the negotiation of construction, procurement, and labor contracts, ensuring favorable terms and alignment with project goals.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders such as operations, facilities, engineering, and finance, as well as external stakeholders including general contractors, designers, and vendors.
  • Ensure effective program management of multiple concurrent projects, balancing priorities and resources across a portfolio of initiatives.
  • Utilize project management tools and scheduling software to plan, track, and report on project timelines, resources, and progress.
  • Support site development activities, coordinating with design and construction teams to ensure constructability, safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Apply construction management best practices, field concepts, and procedures to optimize project execution and cost control.
  • Use AutoCAD, BIM, and related tools as needed to review drawings, plans, and design documents for accuracy and feasibility.
  • Ensure that project requirements are clearly communicated to various audiences, including technical teams, leadership, and field personnel.
  • Report site activities and progress back to the construction leadership team in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Perform a variety of tasks that support project and program success, demonstrating flexibility and a wide degree of creativity and latitude.
  • Work on site the majority of the time, maintaining close oversight of construction activities and ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, and quality expectations.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a comparable field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in a related discipline such as Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • At least 7 years of project management experience spanning design phase through implementation and operation.
  • At least 7 years of experience negotiating construction, procurement, and labor contracts.
  • Experience in at least two disciplines within the construction industry, such as General Contracting, Owner’s Representation, Commercial Development, Engineering & Design, or similar areas.
  • Demonstrated success in communicating project requirements clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in facilities management or similar roles, including planning, design review, implementation, and project management/control of new structures and existing buildings.
  • Proven ability to manage programs consisting of multiple concurrent projects.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools for reviewing and coordinating design documents.
  • Proficiency with scheduling and project management software such as Primavera, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
  • Strong construction management and project coordination skills, including site development oversight.
  • Ability to rely on extensive experience and sound judgment to plan, prioritize, and accomplish project and program goals.
  • Experience leading and directing the work of others in a project or program environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Project management accreditation such as PMP® or a similar certification.
  • Experience working as an owner’s representative or in roles requiring close collaboration with owners, developers, and contractors.
  • Background in commercial development or large-scale industrial facilities projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and presenting to upper management.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort working with a variety of construction and engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise a wide degree of creativity and latitude in solving complex project challenges.
Work Environment

This role is primarily site-based at a fulfillment center location in Amarillo, Texas, with an expectation to be on site approximately 75% of the time, typically 3–5 days per week. The work environment is centered around active construction sites and operational fulfillment facilities, requiring frequent coordination with field teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders. The position uses construction and project management technologies, including AutoCAD, BIM tools, and scheduling software such as Primavera or Microsoft Project. Work involves both on-site presence—observing and overseeing construction activities, conducting walk-throughs, and attending field meetings—and office-based tasks such as planning, documentation, and reporting. The environment is dynamic and fast-paced, with multiple concurrent projects and evolving priorities, and it typically reports into a manager or head of a unit or department.

This is a Contract position based out of Amarillo, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
