ANDRITZ is seeking a Project Procurement Manager to support large‑scale industrial projects within our Pulp & Paper division.
This position primarily supports capital projects within Wood Processing, including woodyard systems and upstream material handling and preparation equipment. The role may also support other process‑industry businesses as needed.
This role is ideal for a procurement professional, or a project or sales professional ready to transition into procurement, who enjoys ownership, supplier engagement, and working cross‑functionally in technically complex projects.
What You’ll Do
As a Project Procurement Manager, you will have end‑to‑end responsibility for procurement activities on assigned projects, from planning through execution.
Project & Procurement Ownership
- Own the full procurement lifecycle for assigned industrial projects
- Develop and execute the Project Procurement Plan in collaboration with Project Management, Sales, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics
- Ensure procurement activities align with project schedules, budgets, and technical requirements
Sourcing, Negotiation & Supplier Management
- Lead RFPs (Requests for Proposal) for all required equipment, materials, and services
- Source suppliers, negotiate pricing and commercial terms, and proactively identify alternative sources of supply
- Prepare vendor evaluation summaries and make supplier recommendations
- Lead commercial contract and purchase order negotiations with support from Legal when required
- Manage supplier contracts post‑award in coordination with the project team
Execution & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Buyers to issue purchase orders and manage revisions
- Track supplier schedules, especially for long‑lead and critical equipment
- Coordinate with Logistics on domestic and international shipments to site or customer
- Support invoice reconciliation in collaboration with Accounts Payable
- Negotiate and resolve supplier claims when required
Continuous Improvement & Strategy
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and approval guidelines
- Contribute to supplier category strategies alongside leadership and business stakeholders
- Utilize procurement systems, tools, and reporting to support visibility and decision‑making
- Provide reporting and updates to project teams and senior management
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Skills
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, ideally supporting project‑based industrial environments
- Experience in Pulp & Paper or other process industries preferred
- Experience supporting wood processing, woodyard, biomass handling, or related upstream pulp systems is preferred
- Strong understanding of commercial contracts, terms & conditions
- Working knowledge of metal products (plate, pipe, tube), fabricated materials, and machined components
- Strong negotiation, organization, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a project‑driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Willingness to travel 15–25% domestically and internationally

Education
