Description


Plan, direct and ensure all aspects of integrated materials storage, receipt, issue, ordering, inventory, container management, and requirement definitions for capital project related materials are executed in a consistent manner globally. Oversee individual project materials organizations to ensure project objectives of safety, scope, cost, and schedule are met.


Essential Functions:

  • Participate in the development of a Project Materials Execution Plan, outlining strategies, processes, and staff requirements.
  • Develop consistent reports of material status for the project.
  • Participate in logistics, planning and execution, including packing, inspections, and transit of capital goods.
  • Develop tracking controls systems to ensure efficient execution of the project.
  • Collaborate with Global Supply Chain leads to ensure compliance with site requirements, and optimum utilization of resources and staff.
  • Ensure critical materials and supplies are accurately and safely stored and issued to construction personnel as needed.
  • Oversee effectiveness of project materials staff and report to project management improvement opportunities.
  • Oversee system interface (receiving, storing, issuing) accuracy to ensure compliance and excellent material accuracy.

Level of interaction: Often collaborates with managers and/or functional or site leaders and has extensive interaction with external colleagues.


Autonomy/decision making: Works under limited supervision and has significant latitude to set objectives, priorities and timelines that may impact a group or functional area within the company.


Budgetary responsibility: Prepares budget segments for review by others by pulling all components together and making recommendations.


Managerial responsibility: Manages supervisors or mid-level professional individual contributors



Minimum Requirements:


• High School diploma or GED and fourteen (14) years’ experience in inventory management, systems & project management and analysis projects required, OR

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related discipline and ten (10) years combined experience in inventory management, system & project management and analysis projects required, OR

• Master’s degree in Business, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related discipline and eight (8) years combined experience in inventory management, system & project management and analysis projects required.


Preferred Qualifications:


· Leadership ability and strong management skills

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook

· Strong communication skills both verbal and written

· Strong analytical skills

· Ability to multi-task in a high-paced project environment

· Experience with ERP system, materials management software, and SAP

· Construction experience with an ability to maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety requirements
