Project Manager – Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant Construction

A self-performing heavy civil contractor is hiring a Project Manager to support their Water/Wastewater work across the Dallas metro. This is a field-first Engineering role, focused on keeping complex public projects running smoothly, safely, and on budget.
What You’ll Do
- Support the planning and execution of water and wastewater treatment plant projects
- Assist with managing project schedules, budgets, submittals, and subcontractor coordination
- Work closely with field teams to ensure construction meets design specifications and quality standards
- Coordinate with engineers, inspectors, and owner representatives to maintain alignment and avoid delays
- Maintain accurate project documentation, assist with forecasting, and support close-out processes
- Help monitor compliance with safety, environmental, and quality control protocols
- Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other technical documentation
What You’ll Need
- 8+ years of experience on water/wastewater treatment plants or heavy civil utility projects
- Solid understanding of civil, mechanical, and structural systems used in WTP/WWTP construction
- Familiarity with public sector infrastructure work and associated documentation
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical submittals
- OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication and coordination skills across the field and office personnel
