Project Manager | Paving and Concrete Construction | Winter Haven, FL
$80,000 – $120,000 base salary range
Blayze Group is partnering with a well established civil contractor in the Central Florida market to appoint a Project Manager delivering paving, concrete, and sitework projects across the Winter Haven region. The business has built a strong reputation through consistent production, disciplined project control, and repeat work across both public and private sector clients.
The company delivers a range of paving and structural concrete scopes including roadways, parking areas, site infrastructure, and commercial concrete packages. With a stable pipeline of projects and a strong field operation already in place, this position sits within the core delivery team and carries responsibility for project budgets, schedules, subcontractor coordination, and client management from award through completion.
This role will appeal to Project Managers operating within paving, site development, or commercial concrete construction who understand production driven work and margin protection.
The Role:
• Lead the delivery of paving, concrete, and sitework projects from contract award through completion
• Manage relationships with developers, municipal clients, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Coordinate project turnover from estimating including subcontractor buyout, scope review, and contract preparation
• Prepare, manage, and maintain project budgets, schedules, and cost to complete forecasts
• Develop and update project schedules in coordination with field leadership and superintendents
• Monitor production rates, quantities, and resource allocation to protect margin and maintain schedule performance
• Manage change order pricing, documentation, approval, and distribution
• Lead project meetings and provide consistent reporting to ownership and stakeholders
• Oversee permitting, inspections, quality control, and safety compliance
• Manage owner pay applications and subcontractor payment approvals
• Lead project close out including punch lists, warranties, and final documentation
Background Sought:
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline preferred
• Minimum 5 years experience in project management with a contractor operating in paving, concrete, or heavy civil construction
• Experience delivering paving, structural concrete, or site development projects
• Strong understanding of project budgets, production tracking, and subcontractor management
• Proven ability to manage schedules, field teams, and client expectations
• Strong communication skills with confidence operating at both site and client level
• OSHA 30 certification preferred
