Position Summary

The Project Manager serves as the primary leader responsible for guiding projects from award through final completion. This role oversees technical, financial, scheduling, and customer-related aspects of assigned projects to ensure successful execution. The Project Manager works closely with internal teams, vendors, and clients to deliver quality outcomes while maintaining profitability, minimizing risk, and supporting long-term business relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership

  • Assume overall responsibility for assigned projects from kickoff through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project execution plans, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address issues that could impact cost, quality, or schedule.
  • Coordinate activities between engineering, production, procurement, and field personnel.

Technical Coordination

  • Review project requirements, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Prepare or oversee the development of design packages, drawings, calculations, and customer submittals.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to design and drafting personnel.
  • Ensure designs meet project requirements while supporting efficient fabrication and installation.

Client & Vendor Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain effective communication regarding project status, milestones, and schedule updates.
  • Evaluate supplier quotations and participate in vendor selection.
  • Coordinate with manufacturers, suppliers, and logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.

Financial & Contract Administration

  • Manage project budgets and monitor expenditures throughout execution.
  • Review project changes and determine impacts to cost, schedule, and resources.
  • Prepare pricing and documentation for change requests and contract modifications.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project profitability and reduce unnecessary expenses.
  • Assist in resolving contractual disputes, claims, and cost recovery efforts when necessary.

Operational Excellence

  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
  • Generate progress reports and performance updates for management and clients.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by helping develop and refine departmental processes and best practices.
  • Contribute to operational planning and workflow improvements that enhance efficiency and project performance.

Qualifications

Education

One of the following is preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Technology, or a related technical discipline.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant industry experience.

Experience

  • Five or more years of experience leading projects in construction, manufacturing, industrial operations, engineering, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project schedules, budgets, and customer expectations.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
