Summary:

The Project Manager is responsible for leading complex manufacturing projects from initiation through completion. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

·      For first three years of role, lead a major change project for our manufacturing footprint from ideation through implementation ensuring all major milestones and deliverables are met on time and within budget.

·      Lead end-to-end project management for manufacturing initiatives, including new product launches, process improvements, and capital equipment installations

  • Define, research, and develop project proposals as required by the capital budget, identified by improvement ideas, or as directed by the Vice-President Operations.

·      Coordinate with cross-functional teams, to include engineering, production, quality, technology, sales, finance, and supply chain, to ensure project alignment and successful implementation.

·      Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.

·      Monitor project progress and address any issues or risks that may impact project outcomes.

·      Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders and senior management on project status, budget tracking, on time performance, and potential issues as they arise.

·      Lead all aspects of a project from planning through testing and final turnover to operations.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize production processes

·      Foster strong relationships with external vendors and contractors to ensure project requirements are met.

·      Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Apply professional engineering/technical skills to optimize existing plant equipment and processes.
  • Oversee and conduct test work aimed at plant process improvements.
  • Comply with all GMA USA’s safety, health and environmental policies and procedures plus any other Garnet USA issued policies or notices. Ensure the same of other persons under your control, including contractors.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.

·      PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is preferred.

·      Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management within a manufacturing environment.

·      Proven track record of successfully managing $5M+ complex projects with multiple stakeholders.

·      Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

·      Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and supply chain operations

·      Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, ERP systems)

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
