Project Manager - Structural Steel

Our client is looking for strong a Project Manager with a strong field ironworker background to support structural steel and miscellaneous metals projects. This role requires hands-on construction experience combined with technical coordination and project documentation skills.

Project Manager Salary and Benefits:

• Base salary of $125 - 160k - can be higher based on experience

Project Manager Responsibilities:

• Oversee structural steel construction and other miscellaneous metal projects
• Coordinate between field crews, detailing, and project management
• Review shop drawings and contract documents for constructability
• Manage RFIs, submittals, and field documentation
• Track material deliveries and installation progress
• Maintain project records using Procore and Bluebeam
• Assist with schedules, quantities, and production tracking
• Support foremen and superintendents with layout and field needs

Project Manager Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience as a Field Ironworker (structural steel / misc metals strongly preferred)
• Experience with Bluebeam, Procore, and Microsoft Excel
• Hands-on experience as an ironworker
• Comfortable working on iPad and construction technology platforms
• Ability to read and interpret Design drawings, Shop drawings and Project specifications
• Solid understanding of Steel erection sequencing, Field coordination and RFIs, submittals, and as-built documentation
• Strong communication skills between field crews, GC, and project management
