Project Manager / Senior Project Manager – MTA Infrastructure Projects

Forte Construction is seeking an experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Manager with direct MTA project experience to support our growing portfolio of public infrastructure work across New York City.

This role is for a construction professional coming from a general contractor environment who understands the demands of agency-driven work, complex coordination, and delivering projects in active transit environments.

What You’ll Do

• Lead delivery of MTA infrastructure construction projects
• Manage schedule, cost control, subcontractors, and field coordination
• Serve as the primary interface with MTA project management and agency stakeholders
• Oversee contracts, change orders, and project documentation
• Drive project execution with strong collaboration between field leadership and trade partners

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of construction experience with a general contractor
• Demonstrated experience delivering projects for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority
• Strong knowledge of public construction contracts, scheduling, and cost control
• Experience managing complex, multi-trade infrastructure projects in NYC

Compensation

In compliance with New York salary transparency laws:

Base Salary: $185,000 – $250,000

Total Compensation Potential: Up to ~$300,000 with performance bonus

Compensation is based on experience, project background, and leadership responsibilities.
