Vegetation Management Project Manager
3 days on-site in Twin Cities area
60-70/hr DOE
Long-term contract W2 contract with benefits
OVERVIEW
Our utility client is executing a Vegetation Management Transformation to modernize how vegetation work is planned, executed, governed, and measured across Distribution Operations. Vegetation Management currently operates outside the RVP structure within Distribution Business Operations, alongside other operationally critical groups such as the Builders Call Line and Service Policy teams.
This initiative represents a shift from a largely field-driven, contractor-dependent model to a software-enabled, analytics-driven operating model that enables predictive forecasting, standardized execution, and stronger vendor accountability. Due to limited internal capacity and the complexity of the transformation, our client is seeking a Vegetation Management Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery across operations, technology, vendors, analytics, and enterprise planning teams.
WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS
- Vegetation Management is heavily dependent on contract partners
- Internal teams operate in silos, limiting visibility and execution
- No single role is accountable for full lifecycle delivery
- Significant software expansion is underway for vegetation analytics and work execution
- Current external support exists, but execution ownership is missing
