Project Manager | Downtown GC | 2 days WFH

The Opportunity

A well-established Chicago general contractor is looking to bring on a Project Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of projects across commercial, retail, education, and healthcare sectors. This role offers full project ownership from preconstruction through closeout, with strong internal support and direct exposure to leadership.

Projects range from $5M to $50M, giving you a mix of complexity, variety, and consistent pipeline.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Manage projects from preconstruction through completion
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders
• Oversee budgets, schedules, and overall project performance
• Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and consultants
• Lead buyout, procurement, and cost tracking
• Identify risks early and drive solutions to keep projects on track
• Support and mentor Project Engineers and APMs

What They’re Looking For

• 5 to 10 years of experience with a general contractor
• Experience managing projects in the $5M to $50M range
• Background in commercial, retail, healthcare, or education preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to run projects independently while collaborating with internal teams

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $120K to $150K
• Performance based bonus
