Project Manager – Job Description

Overview:

Responsible for managing multiple low-voltage and technology-focused construction projects, ensuring successful delivery on time, within budget, and at quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage several concurrent projects both small and large, covering technologies like cabling, access control, video surveillance, security, AV, and wireless.
• Build and maintain project schedules; oversee documentation, submittals, RFIs, change orders, daily reports, and closeout.
• Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders; enforce project scope and quality standards.
• Control budgets, track progress, monitor labor and material usage, and manage change orders to protect project margins.
• Lead field crews and subcontractors, assign tasks, and ensure crew readiness.
• Oversee system installation, testing, commissioning, and client handover.

Daily/Weekly KPIs:

• Crew readiness, schedule accuracy, blocker removal, field documentation compliance.
• Change event tracking, customer touchpoints, schedule and forecast tracking, milestone performance, labor/margin monitoring.
• Closeout metrics: change order capture, billing cycle time, rework frequency, and project closeout time.

Qualifications:

• Experience managing multiple construction/technology projects.
• Skilled in schedule and financial management, quality control, and documentation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and technical integration abilities.
