We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the design, documentation, deployment, and commissioning of mission-critical electronic security systems. This role plays a key part across the full project lifecycle, partnering closely with engineers, project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in compliance with all engineering standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, document, and manage technical submittals for large-scale security installation projects
- Develop engineering plans, implementation strategies, and failover designs
- Support bidding efforts including takeoffs, bills of materials, and cost estimates
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and trade partners to align designs and installation requirements
- Track RFIs, revisions, submittals, schedules, and project documentation
- Lead design reviews and contribute to process improvements and technical knowledge sharing
- Provide on-site support including site surveys, pre-install testing, and field commissioning
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial preferred)
- 7+ years of relevant design and deployment experience (plus if experience is in mission-critical facilities)
- Experience creating detailed engineering plans, implementation plans, and failover strategies
- Strong AutoCAD experience (required)
- Revit experience highly preferred
- Familiarity with SolidWorks is helpful but insufficient on its own for this role
- Experience with BIM tools (BIM 360 or similar) is a plus
- Experience with scheduling, job cost tracking, and project coordination
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Compensation range: $100k - $150k
