Extension is seeking a Project Engineer for a direct-hire opportunity with one of our clients located in Ripon, WI!
About the Company / Position
A manufacturing company focused on innovation and operational excellence - the Project Manager is responsible for leading engineering projects that introduce new processes, equipment, and assembly systems to improve safety, quality, and operational efficiency. This role works cross-functionally to evaluate, implement, and optimize manufacturing solutions while driving continuous improvement and cost reduction. The position also supports production through troubleshooting, process development, and ensuring equipment and systems perform at optimal levels
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects involving new processes, equipment, and assembly systems
- Identify and implement improvements in safety, quality, throughput, and cost
- Evaluate vendor proposals and support equipment selection
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes using continuous improvement methods
- Support production, troubleshoot issues, and ensure equipment performance
- Coordinate projects, develop work instructions, and reduce scrap and cycle time
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
- Minimum 2+ years of experience managing capital projects involving new equipment
- CAD experience required (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo/Pro E preferred)
- Experience in manufacturing environments (metal manufacturing preferred)
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, process mapping, FMEA, and root cause analysis
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
Salary and Schedule
- Onsite in Ripon, WI
- Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
- $90,000 - $120,000
