Project Engineer
Own and deliver capital and process improvement projects across a manufacturing site. This role combines hands-on engineering support with full lifecycle project management to drive safety, reliability, and cost performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects from concept to commissioning, aligned to safety, quality, and cost targets
- Build and manage scopes, timelines, and budgets; drive delivery within approved spend
- Provide technical support to operations and maintenance to resolve equipment and process issues
- Partner with vendors/contractors to design and execute cost-effective solutions
- Oversee contractor performance (safety, quality, schedule, cost)
- Coordinate internal resources for installs, upgrades, and shutdown work
- Identify and mitigate risks impacting safety, compliance, and production
- Communicate clear project updates to stakeholders
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation and drawings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 5-8 years' experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Proven project management and multi-project execution capability
- Experience with project planning tools, CMMS/ERP systems, and CAD
- Strong communication skills; PMP a plus
