Project Accountant

Preferred Experience & Qualifications
- 4–6 years of accounting experience in a project-based or cost-accounting environment
- Background in manufacturing, engineering, EPC, construction, or similar industries preferred
- Experience with job costing, project cost tracking, or cost forecasting
- Exposure to WIP, percentage-of-completion, or project revenue recognition
- Familiarity with progress billing, milestones, or customer invoicing tied to project deliverables
- Experience using ERP or project accounting systems (Procore, Sage, Viewpoint, NetSuite, or similar)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple active projects and deadlines
Key Responsibilities
- Track and analyze project costs, budgets, and financial performance
- Prepare cost forecasts and cost-to-complete analysis for active projects
- Support project billing, including progress-based or milestone billing
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition based on project status and financial data
- Partner with project managers and operational teams to review project performance
- Maintain accurate project financial records within ERP or project systems
- Assist with month-end close related to project accounting and cost reporting
- Provide financial insights to support decision-making on active projects
- Follow internal controls and accounting best practices
