GET TO KNOW YOUR AREA:

Responsible for regularly managing complex programs/projects and integrations with multiple cross-team points. Establishes and manages relationships with multiple internal and external partners/vendors. Responsible for setting and meeting enterprise strategic goals. Mentors others on project management methodology. Drives toward continuous improvement. Has the potential to manage other project managers


YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO:

  • Leads cross-functional program teams by developing work plans within guidelines and monitoring progress on program milestones.
  • Understands program/project roadmap and key milestones regarding criticality, downstream impact if dates are missed, and determines alternative/mitigating actions.
  • Coordinates the planning, management, and execution of multiple related projects in a program that are directed toward the same strategic objectives and influence decisions.
  • Records and monitors program/project actual costs vs. program/project budget.
  • Responsible for proactively identifying variances to the plan and developing appropriate mitigation plans.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing department and organization standards. Drives new or changed tools and processes to move the department forward.
  • Good knowledge and handling of project and program methodology and techniques.
  • Understands how program decisions impact key business metrics and the enterprise strategy.
  • Builds consensus among multiple program/project teams relative to program/project scope, task execution, staffing, and issue resolution.
  • Defines and understands the objectives and the scope of the program and is able to translate customer expectations and requirements.
  • Shows ability to learn new tools and processes. Can be flexible in changing approach when needed.
  • Defining program governance (controls) and ensuring the quality and integrity of program work products.
  • Ability to indirectly manage and motivate resources toward goals through setting priorities and objectives.
  • Facilitates change through leadership and drives change through all layers of the department.
  • Brings creative ideas to the workplace and engages in effective brainstorming.
  • Helps to define and develop departmental-level project/program policies, processes, standards, governance, and metrics.
  • Makes recommendations for improving efficiency, service, or product delivery and expense reduction in programs.
  • Implements industry best practices and standards where applicable.
  • Establishes and maintains PMO process documentation, templates/standards, and governance.
  • Configures/administers PM tools (workflows, intake forms, fields, permissions) and supports adoption.
  • Creates training materials; delivers enablement; coordinates pilot testing/UAT and rollout iterations
  • Runs intake operations and portfolio tracking; produces dashboards and executive reporting cadence.


ARE YOU READY FOR THE ROLE?

Main requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
  • At least 7 to 10 years of related experience required managing large complex programs/projects.
  • Effectively understand programs/projects at a portfolio level.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, methodologies and principles.
  • PMP certification (preferred).
  • Enterprise PMO experience with intake operations, portfolio tracking, and executive reporting.
  • PM tool configuration; PMO templates/standards.
