  • As a Quality Assurance and Test Programs Lead, NQ-0343-3 you will: Review, analyze, and evaluate the activities of prime contractors at the Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, focusing on laboratory operations, research and development (R&D) initiatives, and the evaluation of naval reactor plant systems and components as part of the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP). Conduct analyses of multi-year test program plans, strategic objectives, site operations, and associated financial resource requirements to ensure alignment. Perform periodic assessments, inspections, and technical evaluations of research and development activities, testing procedures, and laboratory facilities. Ensure compliance with objectives, technical requirements, and quality assurance standards. Participate in technical reviews, providing expert advice and guidance to the Assistant Manager for Operations - Pittsburgh and Naval Reactors Headquarters. Identify gaps in test design or processes and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively. Coordinate work within the Naval Reactors Laboratory Field Office (NRLFO) and collaborate with Naval Reactors Headquarters, other laboratory sites, and external stakeholders. Represent the office's interests in meetings and forums involving laboratory personnel, federal and state agencies, and national laboratories.
