TITLE: Program Analyst, CalMedForce Graduate Medical Education Program (Limited Term)
DIVISION: Physicians for a Healthy California (PHC)
EXEMPTION STATUS: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Program Director
SALARY RANGE: $70,304-$82,400
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Program Director, this position will provide analytical support to CalMedForce and its Advisory Council. This full-time position is hybrid, requiring presence in the Sacramento office two to three days a week, with occasional extra in-office days as needed or requested. This position is limited term with end date of December 31, 2026.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Researches state healthcare workforce shortages
Conducts literature reviews to stay relevant on healthcare workforce shortages
Performs qualitative and quantitative data analysis
Build data computation models using data exported from large government data sets and internally collected sources
Develops visual presentations of data in formats such as PowerPoint, including graphs, charts, tables, etc.
Develops and updates policies and procedures on grant administration
Review applications and accompanying materials for completeness and accuracy
Develop application scoring criteria
Monitors grantees’ progress via compliance reports
Evaluates awardee progress reports in comparison to approved budget
Serves as internal subject matter expert on statutory requirements and University of California policies and procedures related to grants, funding, and audits
Drafts internal controls for ensuring appropriate use of funds
Tracks and monitors budgets and financial expenditures for the GME program and program awardees
Drafts internal and external reports regarding grantee progress
Authors and updates materials based on feedback from Advisory Council
Writes quarterly progress reports
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
High school diploma; bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
At least three years in analytical functions
Demonstrated skills in quantitative and qualitative analysis
Strong skills in data management, statistical analysis, and model building
Experience developing dashboards and interactive data visualizations
Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and Word
Experience with R Studio preferred
Strong organizational and planning skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated strong writing skills, such as reports, case studies, analytical writing
Ability to travel and occasionally work nights and weekends
