Howmet Aerospace is currently looking a CMM/Dimensional Operator to join our Howmet Casting located in Dover, New Jersey. The work hours for this Afternoon Shift position are Monday to Friday 230Pm-1030PM. Training will be on 1st Shift Monday to Friday
New Hire Starting Hourly Rate: $25.66; After 12 Months: $28.31

POSITION OVERVIEW
This position uses highly technical equipment to take exact measurements of castings to ensure they meet the customer’s specifications.
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Expected to assist in the implementation of EHS Values and policy statements and accompanying principles.

• Report all safety, health and environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• To utilize all customer supplied hard tooling to include, but not limited to loading, best fit balancing, machining and recording all information for engineering without the need for supervision.
• Set up jobs to be run on CMM, machines. Troubleshoot as required to keep the program running.
• Run programs on the coordinate measurement machine and interpret results with regards to rework or acceptance criteria.
• Complete proper paperwork, such as AQL’s.
• Interact with engineering and layout departments to learn and understand new gauging techniques.
• Perform hand held gauging, verniers, Pi tapes, height gauges, contour templates, etc. on all castings. May be required to record data on out of tolerance castings at gauging operations.
• Operate hand tools to include, but not limited to, various belt guns, grinders, belts, stones, press, precision drills, etc.
• Keep clean working environment and work well individually in an atmosphere of teamwork.
• Any other duties as assigned by supervision.
• Responsible for verifying calibration stickers before working the job.
• Responsible or verifying routers are correct before working the job.
