Production Worker (Casting Technician - Weekend Nights Shift)

Howmet Aerospace is currently looking a Casting Technician to join our Dover Casting group in Dover, New Jersey. The work hours for this position will be Weekend Nights Shift Friday Sat, Sun 6PM-6AM).  Training will be on Day shift (Monday - Friday 6:00A - 2:00P) for several months

Anticipated Pay Range: $24 - $25.50 per hour.  *Pay rates within this range are determined based on various factors including experience, education, certifications, etc.

POSITION OVERVIEW

This position is responsible for pouring the molten metal into the casting molds.

ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Expected to assist in the implementation of Howmet's EHS value and policy statement and its accompanying principles.

ESEENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Melts and pours alloy into refractory molds in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Operates complex vacuum and air melt equipment.
• Generates written reports and maintains department records.
• Inspects refractory molds prior to casting.
• Trains colleagues.
• Notifies supervision or Engineering of problems with molds, equipment, etc.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate English.
• Must be able to work with computers.
