Job Title: Production Associate - 1st Shift - Start ASAP

Job Description

The Production Associate is responsible for manufacturing and assembling custom residential windows and door walls in a high-volume production facility. Working within one of several areas—Shipping & Receiving, Frames, Sashes, or Doorwall/Casements—you will perform hands-on assembly tasks, operate basic tools and equipment, and support sub-assembly processes as you rotate and train across different stations. This role requires consistent physical activity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble windows and door walls by measuring, cutting, and preparing vinyl, glass, and other materials according to production specifications.
  • Use hand tools to perform tasks such as fastening, securing, and adjusting components during the assembly process.
  • Repetitively lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds or more, depending on the specific station.
  • Punch holes, strip materials, and perform other preparation steps required to complete sub-assemblies.
  • Place glass and related materials onto frames accurately and safely.
  • Perform repetitive movements such as grasping, reaching, pulling, pushing, bending, and twisting throughout the shift.
  • Support stocking of materials and components at workstations to maintain a steady production flow.
  • Clean and organize the workspace and surrounding areas to maintain a safe and orderly production environment.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and quality standards to ensure products meet required specifications.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain production pace and meet quotas and performance metrics.
  • Adapt to different sub-assembly roles and areas as training progresses and production needs change.
  • Perform other production-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
  • When hired directly by the company, operate machines, saws, or welding equipment as trained and assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively for the majority of the shift (at least 6 out of 8 hours).
  • Demonstrated experience working in roles that required frequent lifting of 50 pounds or more.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and the ability to safely hold and handle tools such as hammers and similar equipment (training provided on specific use).
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with production quotas or performance targets.
  • Experience working in environments where meeting a quota or production goal was required.
  • Ability to stand on your feet for the entire duration of an 8-hour shift.
  • Demonstrated history of standing for full shifts in previous roles.
  • Ability to bend, twist, and squat repeatedly during the shift as part of regular job duties.
  • Previous experience performing physically demanding tasks that required frequent bending, twisting, and squatting.
  • Willingness and ability to work in a hot, noisy production environment with moderate noise levels and seasonal temperature fluctuations.
  • Reliability and consistency in attendance and in staying until daily production work is completed.

Work Environment

This role is based in an indoor production facility with conditions that reflect seasonal temperatures, including periods that can be hot, cold, humid, or dry. The environment is similar to a large garage, with big doors that can be opened to create airflow, and fans positioned throughout the workspace to improve comfort. The noise level is moderate, and the building is well lit to support detailed assembly work. The break room is air-conditioned, providing a comfortable space for the one-hour lunch break and other scheduled breaks, and coolers with sports drinks are provided during very hot weather. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with the expectation to stay until the day’s work is completed, typically around 2:30 p.m., resulting in an average of 40–50 hours per week. The role requires standing for the entire shift, frequent lifting, and repetitive movements such as bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling in a busy production-line setting. Casual, practical work attire suitable for a hot, noisy manufacturing environment is appropriate.
