Overview:

This position is responsible for overseeing end-to-end shift activities across feeding, threshing, redrying, and packing processes. You will ensure operational excellence by maintaining equipment reliability, enforcing quality standards, and leading a high-performing team in alignment with the company's safety, compliance, and continuous improvement culture.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Lead daily shift operations across all processing areas to meet production targets, quality standards, and operational KPIs
  • Partner closely with Technical Quality teams to ensure consistency and process performance
  • Monitor key process parameters and take timely corrective actions to maintain product integrity

Process & Equipment Oversight

  • Oversee feeding operations, including raw material control, blending ratios, and monitoring moisture/temperature levels
  • Lead threshing activities to meet product specifications and ensure effective removal of non-tobacco related materials (NTRM)
  • Support redrying operations by monitoring dryer performance and silo management
  • Supervise packing processes, including presses, strappers, and by-product handling
  • Ensure equipment reliability through inspections, maintenance coordination, and follow-up actions

Quality & Compliance

  • Maintain strict adherence to quality standards, contamination prevention, and operational procedures
  • Ensure accurate data entry and traceability using systems such as Leaf Point
  • Uphold all EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) requirements and promote a strong safety-first culture

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop shift team members to drive accountability and performance
  • Provide hands-on training and reinforce standardized work practices
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous learning

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify operational inefficiencies and drive improvements using structured problem-solving tools (e.g., 5 Whys)
  • Support daily management systems and contribute to process standardization
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement across the shop floor


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of manufacturing experience, preferably within tobacco or similar processing environments
  • At least 5 years of supervisory experience
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and material characteristics
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with systems such as Leaf Point and QIMS
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
