BDC Brands is seeking a driven, detail-oriented Production Planning & Inventory Audit Specialist to support our fast-growing manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining the production schedule to meet customer demand while ensuring optimal inventory accuracy and control across raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.

This position plays a critical role in delivering an Exceptional Customer Experience by ensuring product availability, on-time shipments, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is proactive, competitive, resourceful, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.


Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):


Production Scheduling

  • Develop, maintain, and adjust daily and weekly production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, Quality, and Shipping to ensure materials and labor are aligned with production goals.
  • Proactively identify capacity constraints and recommend solutions.
  • Monitor schedule adherence and drive accountability across departments.
  • Communicate schedule changes clearly and promptly to all stakeholders.

Inventory Auditing

  • Conduct routine inventory audits and cycle counts for raw materials, packaging components, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
  • Verify physical inventory levels against ERP system records to ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory data.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, variances, and reporting inconsistencies.
  • Analyze audit findings to identify root causes of inventory inaccuracies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Work cross-functionally with warehouse, production, and purchasing teams to improve inventory tracking processes.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of audit results and inventory adjustments.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen inventory control systems and audit procedures.

Operational Excellence

  • Develop and maintain reporting metrics such as inventory accuracy, schedule adherence, production efficiency, and inventory turnover.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to production scheduling and inventory accuracy.
  • Support ERP system accuracy by ensuring data integrity and timely updates.
  • Support ERP system integrity and optimization.
  • Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and process optimization efforts.


Requirements:


Required

  • 2–5+ years of experience in production scheduling, supply chain, or inventory auditing within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills and data analysis capability.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in chemical manufacturing, coatings, or similar process manufacturing.
  • Experience supporting Amazon, big-box retail, or high-volume DTC fulfillment environments.
