Job Description

This role offers the opportunity to become a member of a union, specifically the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, after three months of employment. Responsibilities

  • Prepare parts for operators by attaching them to racks and removing them afterward.
  • Maintain accuracy while working in a fast-paced production line.
  • Lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Assist in prepping steel parts for chrome plating, which involves wiring and following the instructions of a seasoned Chrome Plater.
  • Prepare parts for plating using a sandblasting machine.
  • Operate anodizing equipment, including gantry lifts, during the finishing process.
  • Be comfortable with standing for extended periods and the smell of chemicals.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to read and follow written instructions.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced production facility.
  • Willingness to perform various shop duties, including cleanup.
  • Experience as a machine operator.
  • Desire for long-term growth in the aerospace industry.
  • Problem-solving skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Basic math skills are a plus.
  • Experience in manufacturing, general labor, assembly, and production.

Work Environment

Work at a spacious, modern plating facility that provides a wide array of finishing services for the Aerospace, Defense, Commercial, and Electronics industries. The facility is a leader in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methods, ensuring a streamlined and efficient operation. Employees are expected to stand for long periods and work with various chemicals and machinery.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.10 - $22.10/hr.
