Production Manager

Position Summary: 

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all manufacturing operations to ensure compliance with IATF standards and company objectives. This role ensures that production processes are efficient, safe, and deliver high-quality products on time. The Production Manager works closely with cross-functional teams, including quality, maintenance, engineering, and top management, to drive continuous improvement and achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a safe and positive work environment that results in employee satisfaction and business success.
  • Process Owner of Production & Shipping, establish goals, objectives and KPI’s.
  • Monitors and reports on process performance during monthly Operations Meetings.
  • Implementing corrective actions when process goals and objectives aren’t met.
  • Reviews, approves, implements and communicates process changes and/or improvement plans.
  • Ensure employees receive the required training, support and mentoring.
  • Advises management team about any process issues or interruptions.
  • Supporting the QMS and helping drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee daily production operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization to meet customer requirements and delivery deadlines.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as quality, maintenance and engineering to resolve production issues and enhance process efficiency.
  • Manage inventory and material flow to ensure uninterrupted production, minimizing waste and costs.
  • Support and respond to any customer complaints, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
  • Collaborate with Quality Manager to ensure products meet all regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of production and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures and work instructions.
  • Drive the implementation of lean manufacturing practices.
  • Participate in Management Review, Internal and External Audits.
  • Conduct Employee Performance Reviews.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing/Operations Management or minimum 10 years of experience in production management within an automotive or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 & IATF 16949 requirements and quality management systems.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
