Production Manager

The Production Manager will play a key role within the Production Department, supporting the execution and growth of assigned footwear brands through strong operational leadership, strategic production management, and cross-functional collaboration. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end production process, managing personnel, analyzing business trends, supporting margin initiatives, and driving on-time delivery performance in a fast-paced environment.


The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, proactive, and comfortable making business-critical decisions while partnering closely with Sales, Design, Sourcing, Logistics, and overseas offices to support both operational execution and top-line growth opportunities.

This position reports to the Director of Production and is based out of our Greenwich, CT headquarters on a hybrid schedule (4 days in office / 1 day remote).



Responsibilities

  • Manage domestic and international footwear production for assigned brands from order placement through final delivery
  • Lead and develop Production Coordinators, ensuring strong execution, accountability, and communication across the team
  • Analyze costing and support margin improvement initiatives through strategic negotiations and factory alignment
  • Establish and communicate target costing to factories and trading offices
  • Manage production scheduling and delivery execution to support customer requirements and business priorities
  • Partner closely with Sales teams to review selling trends, identify chase opportunities, and support reorder business where factory capacity allows
  • Provide weekly business trend analysis and reporting to Sales leadership and senior management
  • Monitor factory capacity, production risks, and potential delivery issues while proactively developing solutions
  • Communicate daily with internal departments and overseas offices regarding production status, costing, delivery changes, projections, and issue resolution
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Logistics, Customer Service, and Sales teams on product updates and business priorities
  • Work closely with Logistics teams to support POE scheduling and inbound shipment management
  • Prepare and maintain reporting tools including WAM/WIP reports, OTB reporting, and business tracking analysis
  • Enter and manage domestic and international customer orders within ERP systems
  • Attend FFANY market week meetings in NYC four times annually
  • Support additional operational and strategic initiatives as needed



Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in footwear production, sourcing, or supply chain management
  • Strong knowledge of footwear manufacturing processes, costing, and production timelines
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, v-lookups, and data analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Experience with BlueCherry ERP systems a plus
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and sense of accountability
