Production Lead

A growing organization is building a millwork operation and is seeking a hands-on Production Lead to play a key role in its development. This position will be responsible for establishing structure, driving production, and maintaining high standards of craftsmanship within the shop.

This is not a traditional management role. The position requires a working leader who is actively involved in building, problem-solving, and improving processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full lifecycle of millwork production (drawings through fabrication and installation)
• Lead daily shop operations, including workflow coordination and team support
• Operate and optimize CNC equipment (HOMAG preferred) and manage Mozaik workflows
• Select materials and oversee execution, including hardwoods, veneers, and specialty finishes
• Maintain quality control standards aligned with high-end custom work
• Manage production schedules, labor allocation, and overall efficiency

What Success Looks Like

• Ability to translate drawings into clear, buildable plans (cut lists, workflows, assembly approach)
• Active participation in production and cabinetry building
• Development of efficient, repeatable processes that improve output and consistency
• Consistent delivery of high-quality fit and finish
• Strong leadership presence that supports team performance and accountability
• Ability to manage complex builds while maintaining quality and timelines
