Materials / Inventory Specialist

Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

Responsibilities:
- Route materials to designated storage locations following established storage procedures.
- Conduct inventory checks and report material deterioration, damage, or discrepancies.
- Pull, issue, package, and prepare materials for shipment.
- Review production schedules to determine material and hardware needs.
- Analyze inventory, material requirements, schedules, and configuration control issues to resolve shortages or discrepancies.
- Coordinate solutions to material problems while supporting quality, schedule, and cost requirements.
- Order parts, tools, materials, and equipment as needed.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety, tool control, FOD, housekeeping, inventory control, facilities, contracts, and related procedures.
- Perform duties while wearing required personal protective equipment and safety gear.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervision or management.
Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1–4 years of experience in warehouse inventory, parts control, material handling, or inventory accountability.
- Computer experience and competency.
- Current forklift license or ability to obtain one.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required training certifications.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
- Ability to pass visual acuity and color perception testing.
- Ability to handle, use, and dispose of hazardous materials.
- Ability to lift approximately 35 lbs.; occasional two-person lifts may be required for items over 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including ladders, confined spaces, elevated platforms, uneven surfaces, and areas with frequent noise exposure.
- Ability to work all assigned shifts and perform duties in varying weather, physical locations, and site conditions.
