Job Title: Machine Production Helper: 1st Shift

Job Description

Join a dynamic team at a leading metal trim manufacturer as a Machine Production Helper. In this role, you will support machine operators in achieving production goals and ensure products are packed and shipped efficiently. This position offers a temporary-to-permanent opportunity for growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Assist machine operators by acting as an extra set of hands to meet production goals and pack and ship products.
• Measure boards using a tape measure to cut and build shipping crates for finished materials.
• Receive training and certification for forklift operations to transport sheet metal around the shop.
• Operate forklifts to move rolls of sheet metal into the slitter machine and transport finished products from the bending machine to the shipping area.
• Work collaboratively on bending machines to load sheet metal flats, remove bent materials, and stack them. Handle pieces typically 10 ft long, with some up to 12 ft, and lift weights up to 30 lbs.

Essential Skills

• Experience in production and general labor.
• Proficiency in using tape measures and forklifts.
• Ability to handle materials and operate slitter and bending machines.
• Sheet metal experience is advantageous.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong focus on achieving production goals and maintaining quality standards.
• Flexibility to work in repetitive tasks with attention to detail.

Work Environment

The work environment is clean, spacious, and semi-climate controlled, allowing for comfortable movement. The facility operates Monday through Friday from 7am to 3:30pm, with two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch. The company will transition from Nashville to South Columbia/Mt. Pleasant, TN in October 2026, offering an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing organization.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Nashville,TN.
