Job Description We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Control Planner II to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, issuing, and controlling production schedules to ensure a smooth flow of materials and production processes. This role requires strong communication and analytical skills to advise management on production status, material availability, and potential production problems.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, issue, and control production schedules to meet production requirements
Coordinate with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials
Advise management on the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems
Schedule equipment and personnel, confirm material supply and demands, and prepare work orders or purchase requests
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Material Planning, Scheduling, and Management

Core Duties:
  1. Production Scheduling: Schedule and plan production work orders to support the master production schedule.
  2. Production Planning: Plan and coordinate the release of production work orders with production and material control planners.
  3. Production Status Meetings: Attend production status meetings for each product line to ensure that schedules are accomplished or rescheduling is correct and complete.
  4. Production Status Reporting: Provide production status to management.
  5. Engineering Change Orders: Analyze the impact of incoming Engineering Change Orders.
  6. Completion Dates and Status: Establish completion dates and status for all parts processed through manufacturing.
  7. Purchase Order Management: Generate Purchase Order documents to ensure timely material deliveries and availability.
Additional Responsibilities:
Work on open released projects
Communicate material needs with the Material Planning department
Collaborate with the Scheduler for resources
Communicate project needs and status to stakeholders
Close top-level MOs, process completed deliverables within the Sales Order, and prepare shipping documents
Back up for Service Returns/Vendor Returns

Required Education, Experience, & Skills Education:
Bachelors Degree and 2 year(s) related experience
Associates Degree and 6 year(s) related experience
High School Diploma or GED and 8 year(s) related experience

Experience in production planning, material control, or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in production planning software, such as ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Experience with: Advanced production planning software, such as APS (Advanced Planning and Scheduling) systems
Knowledge of: Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and supply chain management best practices



Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $46146 - $78448

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
