Description
Job Summary:
The Production Associate plays a key role in the manufacturing of the company’s plastic products. This position is responsible for operating production and packaging equipment, inspecting finished products, and ensuring all products meet quality and safety standards. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a mid - to fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate packaging and automation equipment to produce plastic products according to specifications and production schedules.
• Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure continuous operation.
• Ensure products to verify they meet quality standards.
• Package and palletize finished parts, ensuring UPC and box labels are correctly applied to products, boxes, and pallets.
• Assemble materials to create sub-assemblies or finished goods from raw materials.
• Pack finished goods into appropriate packaging and boxes.
• Report mechanical or material issues to supervisor.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas to maintain a clean and environment.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and reduce waste; communicate suggestions to Management.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
· High School diploma or GED preferred.
· Minimum of one year of manufacturing experience preferred.
· Plastics manufacturing experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
• Work requires standing, walking, bending and squatting for extended periods, including shifts up to 10 hours.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively to perform job duties and follow instructions.
• Ability to regularly lift and move materials up 40 pounds and occasionally up to 65 pounds.
• Frequent use of hands and wrists for tasks requiring grasping, twisting, pulling, and pushing.
