Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, disassemble, and modify aircraft structural components and systems
  • Perform structural repairs including sheet metal, composites, and corrosion control
  • Inspect and verify repairs to ensure flight worthiness and regulatory compliance
  • Troubleshoot and repair aircraft systems including flight controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components
  • Interpret and work from technical manuals, blueprints, and engineering drawings
  • Conduct and support nondestructive inspection (NDI) processes
  • Document all maintenance, repairs, and modifications in aircraft logs and records
  • Utilize specialized tools including torque wrenches, micrometers, dial indicators, and sheet metal equipment
  • Support team-based maintenance activities and occasionally lead tasks on complex repairs
  • Prioritize workload to meet production and maintenance schedules

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to Obtain a Secret Clearance
  • 1+ years of aircraft structural or maintenance experience
  • Hands-on experience with P-8 aircraft
  • Knowledge of aircraft structural repair and sheet metal modifications
  • Ability to read and interpret technical publications and manuals
  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Aircraft systems troubleshooting and repair
  • Structural repair principles (fatigue, corrosion, stress, materials)
  • Familiarity with aircraft tools and test equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Boeing 737 aircraftBackground in military or commercial aviation maintenance environmentsExposure to NDI, composites, and overhaul processes
