Job Description
The Product Management Senior Manager (Technical) is responsible for defining, delivering, and managing the full lifecycle of two or more complex, technology-enabled products supporting Allstate’s Investments business. These products primarily span integration, data, middle-office, and back-office platforms can also expand to support front-office investment products as business needs evolve.Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Lifecycle Management
Create, drive, and execute a holistic product strategy (not limited to software development) for two or more products in Allstate’s growing digital product portfolio.
Define and manage product vision, roadmaps, backlogs, and KPIs to maximize business and enterprise value.
Balance tactical execution with long-term strategic planning to ensure scalable, sustainable solutions.
Make informed build, buy, or partner decisions to advance product strategy and maximize key performance indicators.
Lead discovery and test-and-learn activities to quickly validate concepts and inform backlog investments.
Business & Stakeholder Partnership
Partner with stakeholders across Investments, Enterprise Risk, and Enterprise Technology functions to understand needs and deliver outcomes aligned to investment objectives.
Operate effectively in a market-sensitive environment requiring speed, agility, quality, and strong risk awareness.
Serve as the “product expert” for assigned product areas, presenting to senior leaders and cross-functional teams as needed.
Weigh alternatives and assess service, cost-benefit, and risk-reward implications of product decisions.
Technical Leadership
Provide strong technical leadership across integration, data platforms, architecture, and operational systems.
Collaborate closely with engineers and architects, bringing sufficient hands-on technical fluency to guide design, performance, scalability, and security decisions.
Lead the adoption of emerging technologies (including AI and automation) where they deliver tangible business value, not technology for its own sake.
Support modernization efforts while respecting the unique operating needs of the Investments business.
Enterprise Alignment
Align product delivery with enterprise standards, guardrails, and governance where appropriate.
Thoughtfully adapt enterprise processes to meet the speed and agility demands of Investments technology.
Monitor budgets and operational effectiveness; adjust strategies as business and market conditions evolve.
People Leadership & Development
Coach and mentor product managers and cross-functional team members.
Lead a highly tenured organization through change, modernization, and new ways of working.
Foster openness to innovation and continuous improvement.
Build leadership depth and succession readiness within the product management organization.
Success Measures
Timely, high-quality delivery of integration and operational products.
Clear product strategy aligned to investment business priorities.
Effective use of modern architectures, data, and emerging technologies.

Experience & Qualifications
10+ years of experience, preferred
Proven experience managing complex, technical products in data-heavy, high-velocity environments.
Strong understanding of modern software architecture, data integration, and platform engineering.
Demonstrated ability to lead seasoned teams through change and transformation.
Experience in technology within investments, risk, or financial Services is strongly preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This role has direct supervisory responsibilities and is expected to actively develop and lead people.

Base compensation offered for this role is $135,000- 190,000 / annually and is based on experience and qualifications.The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
