Procurement Intake & Contract Specialist (Procurement Specialist)

Location: Denver, CO 80206

Work Schedule: 3 days onsite, 2 remote, Monday to Friday from 9 to 5

Rate Range: $25 to $36/hour (rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors)


Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Intake & Contract Readiness Specialist to support the end-to-end procurement process by ensuring contracts are complete, accurate, and ready for purchase execution. This role plays a critical part in enabling efficient purchasing by validating contract data, aligning contract structures with sourcing outcomes, and coordinating cross-functional workflows.


Key Responsibilities

Procurement Intake & Validation

  • Review incoming procurement requests to ensure all required fields are complete and accurate prior to contract advancement (e.g., supplier information, legal entity, contract value, term, renewal type, and business owner).
  • Validate data integrity to support downstream purchasing activities and compliance requirements.

Contract Readiness & Structuring

  • Ensure contracts are “purchase ready” by confirming:
  • Commercial terms support purchase order (PO) creation and invoicing processes.
  • Contract structures align with sourcing strategies (e.g., MSA + SOW, Order Forms, Amendments).
  • Identify and flag inconsistencies or gaps that could delay execution.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Partner closely with Procurement Managers and Associates to resolve data quality issues and remove blockers in the purchasing process.
  • Facilitate communication and workflow across internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and business owners.
  • Track and drive timely resolution of intake and contracting issues.


Required Qualifications

  • Prior experience in procurement operations, including contract intake through execution.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage data accuracy and process compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating across multiple stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Contract Management Systems (CMS) or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with procurement workflows, sourcing processes, and contract structures.
