Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to support our manufacturing operations by managing the sourcing and purchasing of high-volume components and materials. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of parts needed to support production and business operations.


The ideal candidate has experience working in a manufacturing environment, sourcing high-volume components, and building strong supplier relationships. This individual will collaborate closely with operations, engineering, and accounting to ensure materials are delivered on time and meet quality and cost expectations.



Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Supplier Management

  • Source and procure materials, components, and supplies required for manufacturing operations.
  • Manage purchase orders from creation through delivery to ensure on-time fulfillment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to support reliability, quality, and competitive pricing.
  • Monitor supplier performance related to delivery, cost, and quality.
  • Identify and qualify new suppliers as needed to support business growth and supply chain resilience.
  • High level understanding of Service Level Agreements (SLA)
  • Familiar with international laws and regulations

Cost & Supply Chain Optimization

  • Evaluate pricing and negotiate with vendors when appropriate to improve cost efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce procurement costs while maintaining quality and supplier reliability.
  • Track market trends, supplier lead times, and availability of key materials.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with operations, planner, engineering, and production teams to understand material requirements and timelines.
  • Support new product introductions by assisting with component sourcing and supplier identification.
  • Communicate proactively regarding supplier delays or potential supply chain risks.

Inventory & Order Management

  • Monitor inventory levels and procurement activity to ensure adequate supply of critical materials.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation within the company’s ERP system.
  • Assist with resolving discrepancies related to shipments, invoices, or supplier deliveries.



Qualifications

Required

  • 3–5 years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience sourcing high-volume components or parts
  • Strong organizational and negotiation skills
  • Experience working with ERP system and Microsoft Excel

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or related field
  • Experience sourcing technical, hardware, or electronic components
  • Familiarity with supplier contract management and vendor negotiations
