Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with a public organization, is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist. This role is responsible for coordinating procurement activities, supporting contract administration, and delivering data-driven insights through reporting and analytics. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining compliance, optimizing procurement processes, and supporting internal stakeholders.
Job Duties
- Process procurement requisitions in alignment with established policies and procedures
- Coordinate issuance of ITBs, RFPs, and RFQs for low-dollar procurements
- Support sourcing activities, contract administration, and solicitation processes
- Maintain and update contracts, amendments, and procurement documentation
- Monitor procurement transactions and ensure compliance with internal policies
- Develop and maintain procurement reports, dashboards, and key performance metrics
- Analyze spend data, contract timelines, and procurement trends to identify opportunities
- Assist with P-Card program administration, including transaction review and compliance
Skills & Experience
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or related field
- 4–6 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, contract administration, or data analysis
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including large dataset management
- Experience with reporting, data analysis, and dashboard development
- Familiarity with procurement processes, sourcing, and contract lifecycle management
- Experience working with procurement or ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
Desired:
- Experience in public sector procurement environments
- Familiarity with systems such as Workday or similar platforms
- Experience supporting audit readiness and compliance documentation
- Knowledge of procurement metrics and performance tracking
- Experience with vendor onboarding and contract repository management
- NIGP or similar procurement certification (or willingness to obtain)
