Job Description:
- Entry level role that is working in a plant/factory.
- Performs a series of operations or tasks under close supervision, utilizing documented work processes.
Mandatory Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must complete site specific safety training.
- Ability to communicate clearly to team members. Be able to follow and read instructions.
- Have basic math skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality.
- Check on equipment throughout shift to ensure equipment is working properly.
- Reads and clearly follows processes that are required.
- Contributes to division results and performance.
- Take care of internal and external customer needs and expectations.
- Operate equipment specific to area such as: CARBON: Bag products, samples and test.
- Manage spent carbon feed to reactivation furnace.
- Switch tank feed from tank to tank of spent carbon; calibrate PH probes, operate a filter press, run facility waste water treatment plant.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.
- Must be able to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Must be able to climb and descend stairs.
- Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
- May work indoors and outdoors as needed.
- Exposure to heat up to 120 degrees and cold to 0 degrees.
- May work in areas where noise level is such that hearing protection is required.
- May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt.
- Work surfaces may include concrete.
- Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.
- 3-5 years experience
