𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲
A publicly traded global manufacturer of specialty chemicals and advanced electronic materials is racing to scale a breakthrough materials platform that powers the AI, electric-vehicle, datacenter, and semiconductor boom, a genuine first-to-market technology with a capital program of more than $150M behind it. This is a ground-floor seat for an early-career process engineer: you will learn the process end to end, own statistical process control on critical products, and help a brand-new plant find its stride as it scales.
𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲
• You are an early-career chemical engineer who wants to learn fast on a real production floor, not from behind a desk
• You are energized, not unnerved, working hands-on around reactive and hazardous chemicals (flammable solvents, corrosives) in a process-safety-first plant
• You are detail-obsessed and analytical, the kind of person who likes chasing down why a batch went out of spec
• You want to wear many hats (process control, troubleshooting, EHS support, work instructions), not do one narrow task
• You want to grow with a fast-scaling operation building something the world has not made at this scale before
• If you want a slow, narrow, behind-a-desk role, this is not it
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝘄𝗻
• Monitor production daily for quality, cycle time, EHS (environment, health, and safety) compliance, and adherence to documented work practices
• Own statistical process control (SPC) on critical processes; find the root cause of out-of-control products and drive corrective action
• Manage nonconforming material reports and support Quality on batch-related customer issues and corrective action requests
• Write and update work instructions, and troubleshoot process equipment with Maintenance and Production
• Serve as a secondary resource for plant EHS: waste shipment coordination, permit compliance, and audits
• Help run the equipment and instrumentation calibration program
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴
• Bachelor's in chemical engineering
• 0 to 3 years in a relevant role; new graduates are welcome
• Working knowledge of statistical process control (SPC)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with real attention to detail
• Familiarity with P&IDs (piping and instrumentation diagrams), basic process control, pumps, piping, control valves, mixers, and environmental control equipment
• Comfortable working around hazardous and reactive chemicals in a process-safety-first plant
• Self-motivated team player who can work with minimal supervision
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀
• Base salary $71,822 to $107,732, plus a performance bonus
• Strong 401(k) match plus an additional company contribution, an employee stock purchase plan, medical/dental/vision with an employer health savings account (HSA) contribution, paid parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and generous paid time off (PTO)
