Process Engineer


Job Summary:


At Compal Electronics, we are scaling next-generation server and AI manufacturing operations. As a Process Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring process stability, improving yield, and driving quality across our production lines in Taylor, TX.

This is a high-impact role focused on process control, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement, supporting both NPI and high-volume production.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct process audits to ensure compliance with SOPs and Work Instructions (WI)
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and drive corrective actions to resolve production issues
  • Own and maintain process equipment including ASRS, testers, and production lines
  • Analyze process capability (Cp/Cpk) and implement improvements to enhance stability
  • Optimize test sequences, thermal processes, and material handling flows
  • Monitor and improve First Pass Yield (FPY) across assembly and test stages
  • Validate new processes and test methodologies during NPI builds
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Industrial, and Automation Engineering teams to close quality gaps

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Process Engineering, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, test engineering, or quality engineering
  • Strong analytical background with experience in root cause analysis and statistical tools

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with server and rack-level assembly or manufacturing
  • Familiarity with capability analysis and yield improvement methodologies
  • Background in reliability or thermal testing for server products
  • Understanding of server functional testing and diagnostics
