Process Engineer

This role plays a key part in supporting, optimizing, and advancing aseptic liquid processing and packaging operations across multiple food manufacturing sites. You will provide technical expertise, drive improvements in Safety, Quality, and Reliability, and help shape the aseptic product strategy while ensuring all processes meet regulatory, food safety, and performance standards.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide technical leadership in aseptic liquid processing and packaging for products including dairy, juices, blended products, concentrates, and pastes.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain aseptic manufacturing lines to improve productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Develop process and packaging design concepts to support new aseptic products and expand existing lines.
  • Manage assigned capital and process projects, including budgeting, scheduling, equipment selection, and contractor coordination.
  • Evaluate and recommend new equipment and technologies; conduct feasibility studies and cost‑benefit analyses.
  • Prepare and analyze process data for continuous improvement and system optimization.
  • Participate in industry conferences to stay current on emerging aseptic innovations.
  • Ensure all solutions incorporate regulatory, personnel safety, and food safety requirements, supporting ongoing SQF system improvements.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local engineering codes.

Requirements Include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Process Engineering experience in a heavily regulated environment
  • Strong communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office, project scheduling, and technical reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects through completion with defined results.
  • Technical expertise in aseptic processing and packaging systems.

Preferred:

  • Aseptic experience strongly desired
  • Experience with ESL, ultra‑clean, or hot‑fill technologies.
  • Capital project management experience
  • Background in hygienic design, food safety, and beverage/dairy processing standards.
