Process Associate (Preparer)

Position Overview

As a U.S. Tax Preparer, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely federal and state income tax returns for individuals and estates. This role requires an understanding of U.S. tax regulations, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow client-specific instructions. You will work closely with reviewers and team leads to ensure compliance, quality, and efficiency throughout the tax preparation process.



Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate and timely federal, state, and city tax returns in accordance with client-specific instructions and deadlines.
  • Make corrections and adjustments to tax returns based on reviewer feedback.
  • Assist in the development and preparation of in-house training materials.
  • Participate in induction programs and attend tax update training sessions as required.
  • Perform document verification in SPbinder, when applicable.
  • Effectively communicate and present information, and respond to queries from managers and clients in a clear and professional manner.



Position Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in tax or accounting.
  • Strong understanding of key tax concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and decision-making abilities.
  • Good understanding of applicable tax rates and laws.
  • Ability to interact effectively with clients and address their queries professionally.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Commerce required.
  • Master of Commerce, EA, or CPA preferred.



Experience

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in the tax or accounting field.



The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $25.14-30/hr USD.
