Position OverviewBaylor Scott & White Health is seeking a skilled and flexible Procedural Registered Nurse (PRN) to support advanced imaging and radiology procedures at Pflugerville Medical Center.
This PRN role is ideal for an experienced RN looking for flexibility while maintaining hands-on clinical skills in a fast-paced imaging environment. You will support CT and MRI procedural services, including cardiac imaging, MRI with pacemakers, enterography, and interventional procedures.

What You’ll Do- Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing CT and MRI procedures, including assessment, IV placement, medication administration, and monitoring of vital signs and cardiac rhythms
- Support advanced imaging procedures such as Cardiac CT (CCTA), MRI with pacemakers, MR Enterography, and lumbar puncture/myelogram, ensuring patient safety and protocol compliance
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, including recovery care and recognition of acute changes or complications
- Administer medications per protocol (e.g., cardiac meds, glucagon) and collaborate with Radiologists and imaging teams for optimal exam timing and outcomes
- Prepare and review patient charts, verify orders, and ensure all pre-procedure requirements are met
- Educate patients on procedures, expectations, and discharge instructions to promote a positive experience
- Respond to urgent or emergent patient situations within the imaging department, including contrast reactions, extravasations, and rapid responses
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and imaging systems while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Support department workflow by assisting with IV starts, patient transport, and team collaboration as needed

QualificationsEducation
- Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year RN experience preferred (procedural, radiology, or acute care setting)
Certifications & Licensure
- Registered Nurse (RN) – Texas license required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
