SUMMARY: Join a vibrant, mission-driven team leading pro bono efforts firmwide. We are seeking a Pro Bono Coordinator to provide administrative support for the Pro Bono Program and to help amplify the impact we making in our communities, including: coordinating day-to-day program operations; preparing written materials for use in program administration, marketing, and internal communications; tracking community service and pro bono initiatives; and assisting with special projects in support of the Pro Bono Team.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Community Service and Pro Bono Coordination:

  • Track the Firm's existing pro bono and community service initiatives across offices, helping to coordinate these efforts into a greater unified firm-wide program for future development under the purview of the Pro Bono team.
  • Coordinate efforts to execute annual Firm Day of Service.

Program Operational Coordination:

  • Provide administrative support for program operations, including matter openings, drafting engagement letters, and follow-up with attorney/client teams for case statuses.
  • Run ad hoc hours reports and compile data as requested by attorneys, legal services organizations, and management to support program tracking and metrics.
  • Place follow-up calls and send reminder communications to pro bono clients, attorneys, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update program databases, contact lists, and filing systems to ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting.

Communications/Marketing and Event Coordination:

  • Provide administrative support for drafting/sending/tracking RSVPs for meetings and events, maintaining program calendar, and coordinating logistics for events.
  • Assist with meeting preparation, including assembling materials, reserving conference rooms, and coordinating catering or supplies.
  • Prepare first drafts of marketing materials such as updates to SharePoint pages, newsletters, opportunity announcements, and reports for review and approval by the marketing organization and pro bono leadership.
  • Collect and organize pro bono marketing collateral in a manner that is scaled and sustained. Support the Pro Bono Partner, Special Counsel and Manager as needed with special projects


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s or higher degree from an accredited college or university and 3-5 years of experience in law firm operations, as an administrative assistant, paralegal, or practice coordinator
  • An interest in social justice and related causes.
  • Excellent writing skills; impeccable grammar, clarity and succinctness.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects in a face-paced environment.
  • High sense of responsibility, accountability, and focus on proactivity and responsiveness.
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills; strong aptitude for detail.
  • Excellent judgment, including sensitivity to confidential information.
  • Comfort creating branded marketing and communications materials using Canva or similar design tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel.Adobe Acrobat, Canva, web-based AI products, case management and law firm file management systems (iManage).
  • Ability to work well both in a team and independently.
  • Professional proficiency in Spanish strongly preferred
