Iowa City Hospice & the Visiting Nurse Association is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented PRN Grant Writer to join our non-profit agency on a flexible, as-needed basis. Key Responsibilities:

- Research and identify potential grant opportunities aligned with the organization’s mission and programs

- Develop, write, and submit compelling grant proposals and supporting documents

- Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and ensure timely submission of applications

- Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information and data for proposals

- Track and report on grant progress, compliance, and outcomes

- Maintain relationships with funding agencies and stay informed about new funding opportunities

- Ensure all grant applications adhere to funder guidelines and organizational standards

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Non-Profit Management, or related field preferred

- Proven experience in grant writing, preferably for non-profit organizations

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong research and organizational skills

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines

- Knowledge of non-profit funding landscape and grant management processes

- Familiarity with grant management software and Microsoft Office Suite
